Babydoll Southdown Sheep

One of the oldest of all purebred sheep in the world, the breed originated in the Sussex County hills of England. They don't require large pastures, and their hay requirements in the winter are very limited. A very docile breed, they are known for being quiet, calm and gentle.
They can be either black or white, and should not measure over 24 inches in height. They have no horns and have been easily confined in our pastures that are fenced with 4 foot woven wire.
As you can see in their pictures, the lambs have characteristic "smiling fuzzy faces" and teddy bear bodies.
We bought Leopold, Cecily, Erin, and Megan in the spring of 2003 from the Penn Oak Farm, outside Philadelphia. Take a look at the pictures of these adorable tiny sheep on this site, and book early to purchase a 2005 lamb!
